The construction works of the Plant required the removal of earth and rocks inside the construction site and in loan areas. With the Recovery Plan for Degraded Areas (abbreviated in Portuguese as PRAD), control actions were implemented at the construction site in the camp, in the sand and rock deposit borrow areas, and in the waste disposal areas of the Plant.
The licensing agencies drafted and approved the Revegetation Plan for the Construction Site, and its execution occurred as the site facilities were deactivated. The re-vegetation service obeyed operational procedures, such as land improvement, organic land placement, ant and termite treatment, opening and preparation of pits, liming, planting of seedlings, hydro-seeding of grasses, cover fertilization, seedling maintenance, etc. The program has been completed.
